Oshik Levy - 5 Original Classic Albums (5-cd Set - 1970-1977) Oshik Levy - 5 Original Classic Albums (5-cd Set - 1970-1977) the first four albums by israeli singer oshik levy + his super rare debut e.p. - are compiled for the first time ever on this superb compact set. The set includes  "a beat silence" (1970) -his first solo album since leaving "the three twins" (1966-1969). The album includes backing from the mighty israeli psych band "the churchills" (!) on at least 3 tracks (Robb Huxley, their guitar player wrote & arranged 2 of them) + the  rock band "cold sweat" (with members of the platina). The album was recorded in 1970, released in 1971 and included the hugh hit "jose, lech brach" (written by shalom chanoch & jacob rotbleit). His second self titled album was recorded during 1974 and included the extended mini-epic "nigun atik" with it's electric guitar coda (played by haim romano from "the churchills"). His third solo album "where did we go wrong" (1976) was a collaboration with musician naftali alter who wrote the music and arranged all of the songs. Again- the players are top notch musicians:romano &  yossi piamenta (worked w/ stan getz!) on electric guitars, meir israel (tamouz) on drums, alona turel (platina) on piano, fender keybords & suki lahav (bruce springsteen) on electric violin. The 4th cd "new and a bit of old" was a special collection featuring unreleased and non-album sides. It was originaly released on lp in 1980. As a bonus a 5th cd was added with oshik levi's first single e.p. 45 (1970) that includes 3-non lp songs, that are available on CD for the first time ever. Highly Recommended!
